Why We Built This Site
Public access in Georgia does not place every document in one database. The Walton County Sheriff's Office holds its incident, arrest, jail, and booking material. The Clerk of Superior Court maintains filed charges, pleadings, dispositions, and sentences, while Magistrate Court handles warrants and preliminary matters. GCIC maintains the state criminal-history repository, and separate systems serve corrections and registry searches. We assembled the verified access routes for those distinct sources.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: how criminal court case records are searched and read in Walton County
- Official check routes: how Georgia name searches and fingerprint-based record reviews work through GBI and GCIC
- Agency contacts: where to reach the sheriff's records unit, the criminal courts, and the statewide systems that hold Walton County records
- Record restriction information: how Georgia restriction and court sealing differ and which office handles each step
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, not part of Walton County, the City of Monroe, or any Georgia agency. Those boundaries mean:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file record-restriction motions, open-records requests, or other paperwork for anyone
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
An official copy must come from the Walton County record custodian, the relevant court, or GBI and GCIC; this site can only identify that source.
Search Partners
Outside providers operate search boxes that appear on some pages. Their prices, results, data practices, and service terms are their own. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral payment that supports this site, but we neither produce nor control the provider's results.
